The Idea

Every important resource in business has learned to scale. Capital scales. Compute scales. Distribution scales. Expertise never did. It lived in a few experienced people, took years to build, and walked out the door when they did.

Agents are the first technology that changes that. They carry judgment, context, and hard-won know-how, and they put it in everyone's hands. The instinct of your best analyst and the shortcut of your most senior operator become things a first-week hire can draw on too.

Alon's argument is that when capability is shared across a company instead of concentrated in a few people, work opens up. Teams spend less time gathering and formatting and more time thinking and deciding. And the payoff shows up where it matters most: in how closely a company can stay to the consumers it serves. That belief, democratizing capability while keeping people at the center, is the throughline of everything Alon builds.

About

Alon Chen is the co-founder and CEO of Tastewise, the agentic intelligence system for food and beverage, trusted by more than half of the Fortune 100 in the category, including Nestle, PepsiCo, and Kraft Heinz. His work centers on a single idea: that agentic AI is closing the oldest gap in business, the one between a company's best people and everyone else. For as long as companies have existed, expertise lived in a handful of experienced individuals and took years to build. Alon believes agents change that, carrying judgment and know-how to entire teams, so an organization can work at the level of its strongest members rather than its average ones.

He came to this from a decade at Google. Joining in 2006, Alon founded and ran the Google Partners program across 27 countries, onboarding 60,000 partners, served as CMO for Israel and Greece, built an online business worth roughly $2 billion, and led Google's relationship with the World Economic Forum. He later led the eCommerce business at Voyager Labs, an Oracle-backed AI company. The idea for Tastewise came from his own kitchen table. His mother, cooking traditional dishes for a family whose diets kept changing, would poll everyone by message before every meal. If keeping up with one family was that hard, Alon reasoned, the food and beverage industry's version of the problem was vast. He founded Tastewise in 2017 with co-founder Eyal Gaon, launched it in 2018, and built agentic AI that turns real consumer signals into decisions brands can act on.

For Alon, the argument is human before it is technical. He is a longtime advocate for democratizing information and capability across a workforce, and for keeping consumers at the center of every decision a company makes. Under his leadership, Tastewise is openly LGBTQ-founded and led, and Alon remains active in LGBTQ rights and serves on an advisory board for the city of Tel Aviv. He holds a BA in Economics, a Master's in Law, and an MBA.
